Multiple Sclerosis Friendly Recipes

March 23, 2018

As is customary, every Friday we will provide you with 3 easy to prepare MS friendly recipes to try this coming weekend!

Veggie Spring Rolls and Almond Dipping Sauce

 (Via MS Saved My Life)

Serve as an appetizers or make a meal out of this one—these spring rolls are gluten free, dairy free and peanut free! Make sure to plan ahead and get organic brown rice wraps to start, although feel free to substitute these with either collard greens, Swiss chard, red kale leaves or organic brown rice wraps. Use whichever veggies you have or prefer to include in the wrap, this recipe calls for carrots, red pepper, cucumber, red onion, red cabbage, radish sprouts, avocado, spinach and cilantro—slice these up really thin and get to rolling! For the almond dipping sauce you will need almond butter, Coconut Aminos, garlic, fish sauce, sesame oil, ginger juice and chili flakes. For the full recipe, click here!

Portobello Burger

If you are choosing to avoid gluten in order to help out your MS symptoms, this burger can definitely satisfy your burger cravings. You will need 2-3 large Portobello mushrooms, arugula, prosciutto (optional), roasted tomatoes, onion, garlic, ghee, olive oil, lemon juice, spicy brown mustard and parmesan cheese. Find the full instructions on how to make this dish here!

Dairy Free Ice Cream

The best part about this healthy treat (besides how good it must taste, of course) is that it can easily be made in a blender—Natalie from MS Saved My Life says she simply uses her large Ninja blender cup. What she uses in this recipe is coconut milk, organic dates, cacao powder, lemon juice and Himalayan sea salt.
