Multiple Sclerosis Friendly Recipes

January 6, 2017

As is customary, every Friday we will provide you with 3 easy to prepare MS friendly recipes to try this weekend.

Pressure Cooker Beef Stew

Winter doldrums sapping your cooking mojo? Get your groove back with this simple, hearty, and Whole30-friendly stew. If you’ve got an Instant Pot (or any other pressure cooker), this comforting beef stew can be ready in about an hour, and you only have to futz with it for about 15 minutes at the start. Plus, there’s nothing weird in it—unless you think of fish sauce as “weird,” and you shouldn’t.

Guacamole with Radish & Oranges

Guacamole, a popular Mexican dip that’s already perfectly Paleo, is often prepared with tomatoes and onions. Here I’m sure you’ll enjoy the twist on the traditional version. You’ll also get to use radishes, which are absolutely delicious and offers a great crunchy texture. They also happen to be a very rich source of vitamin C.

Dairy Free Apple & Pear Strudel

Strudel desserts are perfect during cold evenings because they really highlight the fruit inside. Strudel is kind of a rolled up pie – much the same as a calzone is basically a rolled up pizza. The classic recipe, of course, is apple strudel, which is very difficult to beat in terms of overwhelming satisfaction. But if we tinker a bit, adding pears to the recipe can make it a little more interesting. https://overcomingms.org/recovery-program/recipes/sweets-desserts/dairy-free-apple-and-pear-strudel/
