Multiple Sclerosis Friendly Recipes

October 14, 2016

As is customary, every Friday we will provide you with 3 easy to prepare MS friendly recipes to try this weekend.

Tropical Paleo Granola

There was a time when I thought that granola was a health food that I could and should eat on a daily basis, but the times they are a-changing. I know granola—grain-free or not— is “treat” food that should be eaten only in moderation, and not an everyday breakfast superfood. But with that disclaimer out of the way, let me just say that just a handful of this stuff delivers a mildly-sweet, nutty, tropical crunch like nothing else.

Asian Meatballs

These savory balls of meat and minced vegetables are a cinch to prepare, and each bite is bursting with umami from the mushrooms, fish sauce, and tomato paste. Make a double batch, and you will have a fantastically versatile emergency protein that you can use throughout the week to accompany big salads, zoodles, or simple cauliflower “rice.” Or just pop a few meatballs into a container and bring them to work as a handy snack. http://nomnompaleo.com/post/39832097367/whole30-day-6-asian-meatballs

Apple Fritters

Sweet rings of freshly sliced apple are dipped in a grain-free, nut-free batter made of coconut flour, arrowroot powder, and eggs, then deep fried until golden and crispy. https://elanaspantry.com/apple-fritters/
