Multiple Sclerosis Friendly Recipes

April 29, 2016

As is customary, every Friday we will provide you with 3 easy to prepare MS friendly recipes to try this weekend.

Rice Pudding with Berries

This dessert is free of gluten, dairy and sugar. It contains cashew nuts and coconut milk which are wonderful sources of healthy fats. Our bodies desperately need these to function effectively. It also contains berries which will provide your daily quota of anti-oxidants and vitamins. And of course, the rice is a super source of fiber!

Green Cleanse Smoothie

This smoothie is jam-packed with green goodness! As you down it you can feel your energy levels increasing, your blood sugar levels stabilizing and your mind getting clearer. Such is the power of green food. I enjoy a green smoothie at any time of the day but especially at breakfast time. http://www.msdietforwomen.com/green-cleanse-smoothie

Pumpkin Carrot Bread

You want to make sure that you use fresh, organic pumpkin. You can either buy a fresh pumpkin or use a can if you want to cheat a little. If you use a real pumpkin, bake it in the oven to make it mushy enough to measure into cups for the recipe. This food is low in sodium, and very low in cholesterol. It is also a very good source of vitamin A and manganese. http://www.msdietforwomen.com/pumpkin-carrot-bread
