Multiple Sclerosis Friendly Recipes

As is customary, every Friday we will provide you with 3 easy to prepare MS friendly recipes to try this coming week. Enjoy!

Brain Food Breakfast Skillet

The key to the Wahl’s Diet (a popular choice for MS patients) is to eliminate gluten, but still get all of the proper nutrients into your body. This is a good dish to front load vegetables for the day. Although some say the egg shouldn’t be an integral part of the Wahl’s diet, it is a good source of protein for an MS patient and okay to have once in a while.


Butternut Beet Soup

This is a great option for a cold fall day. The carrots, garlic, squash and beets all act as anti-inflammatories and work together to make a nice puree. Be sure to add the coconut milk as opposed to regular.


Coconut Macaroon Cookies

Macaroons are a great option for gifts because they fit into most diets.  This macaroon recipe is gluten free, grain free, vegetarian, naturally sweetened, and paleo! If you are following along the Wahl’s Diet these macaroons also fall under that.
