Patient Referral

What is the process for getting a patient on your service?
If you want to refer a patient you have to have your account fax over the patient’s demographics, copy of ins. cards, and most recent telemetry. It will take a few days to check for insurance viability and to obtain authorization for services.

How do I refer a patient to your service?
You can use the online referral form provided to you or you can fax your patient’s demographic info along with their most recent telemetry report.

Does the patient still have to come to the office for routine visits to see me?
Yes, you will still see your patients as often as you suggest. When the pt comes to your office for regular visits, you will now have more time for targeted and quality visits.

What do you need from me after I refer my patient to your service?
Sign orders when received; be proactive with patient care, access physician web portal.

How will I have access to my patient records?
You will be given access via user name and password to our physician web portal, where you will have access to all patient records 24 hours a day.

Who do I contact in your company if I have any questions or concerns?
You will contact our 24 hour monitoring center for all questions and concerns where you will have access to our specialized RN’s and pharmacists.

What areas of a state do you cover?
If BHI is developed in a state, we will cover the entire state in entirety. Distance is not an issue.

If a patient travels to another state and needs a refill or pump check, how would you handle that?
BHI is a national home infusion company in 45 states and has a network of RN’s across the country t hat are ready to assist the patient and the medical rep.

Where else besides the patient's home can you refill a pump?
Besides the, we can refill and manage pumps in hospitals, nursing homes, rehab centers, group homes, school, work place, etc.

Do you have 24-hour coverage for patients with drug or pump issues?
Yes, we have a 24-hour monitoring center that is fully staffed with RN’s and Pharmacists to address patient’s clinical and non-clinical needs.

Medications In Use

Do you use Lioresal or the compounded Baclofen?
We have and will only use the name brand Lioresal. We purchase from Medtronic and submit zip code reports monthly to credit the Medtronic rep’s for sales.

Do you work with Prialt?
Yes, BHI has a very successful Prialt program across the country. Our proactive approach allows us to maximize the full potential of the therapy and deliver quality care.
